Build a site that machines can access and people can trust
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) extend good technical SEO and content design. We make important answers explicit, strengthen entity and source clarity, improve crawler access, add appropriate structured data, and create evidence that shows how AI-related crawlers interact with the site.
The implementation stack
Machine access
Robots rules, sitemap references, response codes, canonicals, crawlable links, and optional AI crawler policies are reviewed together.
Answer structure
Short answers, descriptive headings, lists, tables, definitions, FAQs, and page summaries make information easier to extract.
Entity and evidence
Organization details, people, services, locations, dates, sources, reviewer context, and applicable schema reduce ambiguity.
Observation
Detailed crawler logs group verified or identified user agents, requested resources, response status, frequency, and timestamps.
Technical deliverables
- llms.txt with curated site resources
- Robots.txt with sitemap and policy references
- XML sitemap and canonical review
- Clean Markdown mirrors where useful
- Organization, service, article, and FAQ schema when eligible
- Short-answer and page-summary design
- AI crawler log dashboard and exports
- Entity, source, author, and reviewer consistency checks
| Asset | Purpose | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| llms.txt | Offers a curated, readable index for systems that choose to use it. | It is an emerging convention, not a universal inclusion command. |
| Markdown mirror | Presents a clean text representation of selected content. | It must remain synchronized with the canonical page. |
| Structured data | Expresses eligible facts in a machine-readable format. | Markup must match visible content and does not guarantee display. |
| Crawler log | Shows requests reaching the server and their outcomes. | A request does not prove training, citation, or answer inclusion. |
Example: an expert service page that hides the answer
A technically correct page opens with several paragraphs of positioning before it explains the service. We add a direct summary, define key terms, organize the process in a table, identify the responsible expert, link supporting sources, and apply only valid structured data. The page becomes more usable for visitors while also becoming easier for machines to interpret.
Transparent expectations
Google states that established SEO practices still apply to its AI search experiences and that no special AI file or schema is required for inclusion. We treat llms.txt and Markdown as optional accessibility and publishing layers—not magic ranking controls. Read Google’s AI search guidance. No provider can guarantee that a model will crawl, quote, cite, or recommend a page.
Questions before starting
Does every business need the same scope?
No. The plan should reflect the current site, market, internal resources, and strongest visibility gap.
Are rankings or AI citations guaranteed?
No. GlowNest improves access, structure, content, and visibility signals. Search and AI platforms make independent decisions.
What happens first?
